In a significant move to strengthen unity and enhance engagement within its ranks, the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) has temporarily relocated its National Secretariat to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The National Speaker, Rt. Hon. Famuyibo Oluwasegun, arrived safely in Uyo on Sunday, November 10, 2024, and was warmly welcomed by the Akwa Ibom State Chapter, led by State Ambassador Amb. Imo Imoha.

The relocation is intended to facilitate direct engagement with members and address local concerns, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to maintaining harmony and promoting youth empowerment across all regions.

Prominent leaders, including National Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Umaru Bala Babayaro from Kaduna, National Chief Whip Hon. Sylvanus Raymond from Cross River, and Delta State Ambassador and Chairman of the Protocol Team, Hon. Efetobor Omuko, joined the Speaker in Akwa Ibom to support the initiative. The presence of these leaders highlights the collaborative spirit within YAN and the dedication of the South-South region in fostering organizational goals.

The National Secretariat has called on all members to observe decorum and promote peaceful interactions throughout the visit. Members are encouraged to support the leadership’s efforts as they work toward unity and progress within YAN.
